If you don\u2019t have a proper knowledge or understanding about the details in the salary slip or payslip, it can impact you later when you apply for financial assistance or change to another company.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Basic Details<\/strong> &#8211; Under the basic details sections there is, Name of the company, location, Name of the Employee, Employee designation, Date of the payslip is given along with the bank name and account where the salary is being transferred to.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Allowance<\/strong> &#8211; Some employers provide allowances to employees like house rent, conveyance, medical perks, etc. These details are provided under respective sections.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Gross Pay\/ Gross Salary<\/strong> &#8211; This is one of the important components of the payslip you must note. It is the sum of the basic salary and the allowances. Gross Pay is the salary without any taxes allocated to the employee. In the UAE as there is no income tax like most countries, this is the final amount that is handed over to the employee.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Net Pay\/ Net Salary<\/strong> &#8211; If any taxes are levied then the amount under Net Pay\/ Net Salary is the final salary. This is the component you need to check as the amount disclosed under the Net Pay\/Net salary is your take-home salary.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Salary Advance<\/strong> &#8211; If any salary advance is taken from the employer, then it is mentioned in the document along with the amount that will be deducted in that month.<\/li><li><strong>Leaves details<\/strong> &#8211; Salary slip also contains the number of total working days of the month, number of total annual leaves, the number of leaves taken, leaves pending, not paid leaves taken (if any)&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Payroll number <\/strong>&#8211; Each employee is given a number. Some small companies offer salary certificates to the employees. As mentioned already, a salary slip provided periodically needs to be stored properly.
