Services offered by Philippine Consulate in Dubai

UAE is one of those countries in the world which constitutes more expat population. According to the population statistics generated in 2018, among the 88.52% of expats in the UAE, Filipinos comprise about 5.56% i.e., there are around 0.53 Million Filipino expats in this region. To serve Filipinos in the UAE, the Philippine government had set up a Philippine Consulate General(PCG). There are various services provided at the Philippine Consulate in Dubai.

Services offered by Philippine Consulate in Dubai:

Passport

Philippine Passport Renewal Dubai

Filipinos can get their passport renewed at the Philippine Consulate. The procedure for passport renewal is:

  • Get an appointment in prior by visiting their website
  • On the date of appointment visit the Philippine Consulate in Dubai and go to passport processing cabin
  • Follow the instructions given by the official
  • Pay passport renewal fees
  • Get the data and photo processed

To be noted

  • It is mandatory to get an appointment in advance and carry your original passport for passport renewal. Additional documents may be required as per the applicant’s profile.
  • Once the passport is available for release, The applicant must visit Philippine Consulate Dubai in person and collect it. If the applicant cannot visit PCG they must provide an authorization letter to the person who visits the PCG Dubai to collect the passport.
  • PCG Dubai lists the applicant’s names on their website where the applicants can know if their passport is available for release.

Replacement of lost Philippines passport:  

The PCG Dubai helps the Filipinos to get a new passport in the case of lost or replacement of old passport.

Procedure:

  • Fill the online form
  • Visit the Philippine Consulate with the documents required
  • Once the application is verified, the passport will be released

Documents required:

  • Copy of the lost passport’s first page(if available)
  • Birth certificate
  • Police report
  • Identity proofs – Driver’s license, OWWA ID, etc

New passport(Infants)

New passport provided for newly born infants can be availed at the Philippine Consulate Dubai without any prior appointment. Parents can visit the PCG Dubai with their kids and provide required documents.

Documents required:

  • Birth Certificate authenticated by UAE Ministry of Health and Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Parent’s passport copies
  • PSA(Philippines Statistics Authority) Marriage certificate approved by DFA(Department of Foreign affairs)

Fees charged:

The fees charged for a new passport or renewal is AED 100.

Notary

Filipinos in Dubai can get their NBI(National Bureau of Investigation) clearance at Philippine Consulate Dubai. They need to fill the form online at the Dubai PCG portal and visit the Consulate with the required documents to get their NBI Clearance done.

Documents required:

  • Special Power Attorney (SPA)
  • NBI Application form with Fingerprint
  • Passport

Fees charged:

The fees charged for Notarization of NBI/SPA are AED 100.

Report of birth

Even if one of the parents is a Filipino, the birth of the child must be reported at the Philippine Consulate Dubai. Usually, processing the birth report and a new passport for the infant is done together at the Consulate. Parents must visit the Consulate with the required documents. For the birth report and a new passport for infants, there is no prior appointment required.

Documents required:

  • Report of birth form
  • Birth Certificate authenticated by UAE Ministry of Health and Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Photocopies of parents passports
  • Parents marriage certificate

Fees charged:

AED 100 is charged to provide a new passport for the infant.

Marriage

Filipinos who are UAE residents need to report their marriage at the PCG Dubai. Even if they are married outside UAE, the marriage must be reported at Philippine Consulate Dubai. If both the parties are Filipinos then they can be married at the Consulate General itself.

Documents required to register your marriage at PCG are:

  • Report of Marriage Form
  • Marriage Contract attested by the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UAE(The marriage contract must be in English only).
  • Passports

Fees charged:

AED 100 is charged as fees to process the Marriage report in PCG Dubai

Report of death

The death of the Filipino expat in Dubai must be reported at the Philippines Consulate.

Documents required to report a death at PCG are:

  • Death Certificate
  • Passport of deceased
  • Police report or medical reports(may be required)

Fees charged:

AED 100 is charged as fees to process the Death report in Philippine Consulate Dubai

Philippines Visa

Philippine Consulate Dubai provides services for the UAE Nationals also. UAE Nationals who are going to visit the Philippines don’t need a visa if the stay is for maximum 30 days. If they are planning to stay for more than 30 days then they must visit the Philippine embassy, Dubai to get a Philippine Visa.

Documents required for Philippine Visa application:

  • Visa application form
  • Passport
  • UAE Residence Visa
  • Applicant’s photos

Overseas Absentee Voting

Philippine Consulate Dubai provides a certified list of overseas voters present in the UAE region. Filipinos can check their names in the list available on PCG Dubai website.
